Terms of Service for Karm

Welcome to Karm! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Karm mobile application ("the App") provided by Sorted ("we," "us," or "our"). By using Karm, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. Eligibility and Account Creation

• Age Requirements: Karm is designed for users aged 13 and above. Users under 13 require parental consent.
• Account Accuracy: You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• Account Security: You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• One Account Per Person: Each user may only create one account.

2. Service Description

Karm provides:

• AI-powered spiritual guidance based on dharmic wisdom
• Six activity categories for karma-building daily good deeds
• Spiritual guidance through dharmic wisdom and cultural teachings
• Optional voice mode for accessibility
• Privacy-focused conversations that aren't shared with others

3. Pricing and Payments

• Free Trial: First 3 days include unlimited prompts
• Core Features: Free karma tracking with basic spiritual guidance
• Premium Features: Available through subscription:
  • Unlimited karma tracking and advanced analytics
  • Family karma connections and leaderboards
  • Karm Premium: ₹99/month for unlimited features
• Referral Program: Earn 1000 karma points for each successful referral
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed through Apple's App Store
• Refunds: Subject to Apple's refund policies

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Karm responsibly and NOT to:

• Use the App for any illegal or harmful purposes
• Attempt to manipulate, trick, or "jailbreak" the AI
• Share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access our systems
• Use automated systems or bots to access the App
• Share your account with others

5. Content and Conversations

• Your Content: You retain ownership of your messages and conversations
• License to Us: You grant us a limited license to process your messages to provide the service
• AI Responses: AI-generated responses are for entertainment and support only, not professional advice
• No Guarantee: We don't guarantee specific outcomes from using the App

6. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Intellectual Property

• Our Property: The App, including all spiritual content, designs, and AI guidance system, is our intellectual property
• Limited License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal purposes
• Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from our content

8. Disclaimers and Limitations

• No Medical Advice: Karm is NOT a medical or mental health service
• As-Is Service: The App is provided "as is" without warranties
• No Guarantee: We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
• Limited Liability: Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service
• Indirect Damages: We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights.

• Service Changes: We may modify or discontinue features at any time
• Terms Updates: We may update these Terms with notice through the App
• Continued Use: Using Karm after changes means you accept the updated Terms

• Your Right: You can delete your account at any time

• Effect: Termination ends your right to use the App but doesn't affect prior obligations

• Informal Resolution: We'll try to resolve disputes informally first
• Arbitration: Unresolved disputes will be settled through binding arbitration
• Class Action Waiver: You waive the right to participate in class actions
• Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California
